Rolex Daytona 16520
The legendary Daytona 16520 is comparatively rare, having been made in small numbers from 1988 onwards. This very highly valued timepiece is known for being the last Rolex to use a movement sourced from another manufacturer: the magnificent Zenith 400, which was heavily modified for use in the 16520 and renamed Rolex cal.4030, making it the first self-winding Daytona. The model was discontinued in the early naughties; this exceptional and rare example comes from the A series towards the very end of its production run, and boasts phenomenal solid end-links (SEL) on the strap that were unique to the 16520's final years.
This Rolex has undergone a thorough inspection of water resistance, accuracy, functionality and condition to determine the level of reconditioning required to meet our strict standards. It has also been referenced against technical documents and manufacturer records where available to ensure authenticity and a clean history.
