Breitling Navitimer 1884 Chronograph
Combining the slide rule bezel calculator from the 1950s Navitimer with a pointer date display and dual day and month apertures synonymous with 1940s Datora, the limited edition Breitling Navitimer 1884 Chronograph honours some of the greatest design features the brand has popularised since its 1884 inception.
With just 1,884 pieces available, this special Breitling has a 46mm steel case, the Valjoux 7751-based calibre 21 which powers the time, date, day and month displays, as well as the chronograph. There is also the addition of a 24-hour display on the nine o’clock subdial, a useful feature for military operations, as well as a helpful aid when setting the calendar.
The rich black dial has been manufactured using the par épargne technique, where a solid silver base is coated with the dial colour, leaving the silver shining through for the numerals. Luminous hands and red markers are the final touch, while the caseback reads ‘Edition Limitée à 1884 Exemplaires’ and showcases the limited edition number.
The Breitling Navitimer 1884 Chronograph is available on either a steel bracelet, a crocodile leather strap or a black rubber strap with tire-tread motif.
