About this watch

To the great relief of collectors everywhere, Omega keeps excellent care of rare and interesting watches from its archives. The best of them are curated in the extraordinary Omega museum in Biel, which houses over 4,000 pieces and is the oldest watch museum in the world dedicated to just one company. What's great is that this allows the brand to pick out particularly fascinating watches—they only choose ones over 50 years old—and give them a modern reissue. Typically, Omega has been very good at preserving the traditional essence of these historic timepieces while upgrading them with the best of modern technology and manufacturing. This example is based on a beautiful officer's watch from WWII , and is a limited edition of 1,945 (the year of the original).

This Omega has undergone a thorough inspection of accuracy, functionality and condition at our Omega certified service centre to determine the level of reconditioning required to meet our strict standards. It has also been checked against our records to ensure authenticity. All our watches have a 12-month warranty for your peace of mind.

Great experience all around

Couldn't of been easier, found a watch online and they were able to get it to my closest store by the next day. Very helpful staff too, happy to help however they could and explained the financing process very simply. Would recommend to anyone.

A Total 5 Star Service I was a nervous at spending over four months wages on a watch that I had only seen in photographs, and kept putting the purchase off for a week whilst I decided. So when I contacted Watchfinder.co.uk to make enquiries about the availablity of my choice, I was then contacted by Adam Spikin, who I can only say was very friendly, and helped me with a safety/security issue that cropped up near the end of my sales transaction. The watch was well packed, in a very presentable way, with a Watchfinder cloth bag, and a watch handling cloth. The Quality of the watch far far outweighs the images in the sales photographs. Watchfinder.co.uk offer a 5 Star Service and give above that with their helpful friendly staff, I would have no hesitation in telling others about the quality of service they give and the watches that they sell.

Review: Omega Seamaster 300
Posted 17/06/15
For the cynical among us, it's becoming difficult to remain enthusiastic when Omega announces the results of yet another archival plundering. We all enjoy a good look back into the past, but there's a limit, a time to move forward with our lives and on to something new, right? So when news broke of the arrival of a Seamaster 300 reissue, the collective groan from watch-weary enthusiasts was palpable. Was that dismayed exhalation justified? Is Omega's copy-paste approach to watchmaking wearing thin?

Review: Omega Seamaster PloProf
Posted 01/06/18
‘It may not look pretty on the surface, but deep down it’s beautiful.’ Those aren’t my words—those are Omega’s. The people there tasked with building the brand’s most advanced diver yet knew their watch was no looker, but that didn’t matter. It wasn’t for strutting about with; it was for using. It was the Plongeur Professionnel, the PloProf—the Professional Diver.

Market Watch: Omega Seamaster Professional 600 ‘PloProf’
Posted 16/07/14
1970 was an important year for watchmaking. Three years after the launch of the Sea-Dweller, 1970 was the year that introduced the only watch likely to take the fight to Rolex's behemoth: the Omega PloProf. Angled and slab-like, the PloProf was leagues ahead of its time both technologically and stylistically: it used scratch-resistant mineral glass over the Sea-Dweller's plexiglass, had a locking bezel with push-button release and a crown protector design unlike anything ever seen before. Ultimately, the Sea-Dweller was victorious in the fight to win a contract with deep-sea diving agency COMEX, but the PloProf won a different battle: it was by far the most inventive and interesting diver of that great period.

Review: Rolex DateJust vs Omega Globemaster
Posted 09/05/18
Two watch brands: one is founded half a century before the other, repeatedly obliterates accuracy competitions with clean sweeps and unbroken records, is selected by numerous global institutions to provide timekeeping—and the other is Rolex. With the five-pointed crown’s domination in this present era of watchmaking, it’s hard to believe that Rolex is, really, the new kid in town. Is it starting to show?
