News: The Oris Big Crown ProPilot Okavango Air Rescue Limited Edition

Ten years ago, the Okavango Air Rescue organisation was established by Dr Misha S. Kruck and Christian Gross in Botswana. The organisation provides vital medical support to a population that is few and far between and often located in inaccessible areas. To mark the 10th anniversary of this organisation, Oris has announced this: the Oris Big Crown ProPilot Okavango Air Rescue Limited Edition.

The Big Crown ProPilot is a great choice to commemorate the anniversary. It’s a highly legible pilot’s watch with a yes, you guessed it, oversized “big crown” for extended functionality. The 41mm ProPilot features a brushed case with a turbine-like fluted bezel, 100M of water resistance and the Oris Calibre 751—a movement with the brand’s staple red rotor, a 38-hour power reserve and a 28,000 vph beat rate.

What sets this limited edition apart—as you might have guessed—is the dial. The rich transitioning greens of this textured dial are meant to resemble the long flowing grass meadows of the Okavango Delta—operating ground and home to the Okavango Air Rescue.

The Oris Big Crown ProPilot Okavango Air Rescue Limited Edition is limited to just 2,011 pieces and is available with an accompanying single white striped green NATO strap for £1,950.
