News: The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Quadriptyque – Watches And Wonders 2021
Celebrating 90 years of Reverso, Jaeger-LeCoultre has just produced its most complicated Reverso watch yet: the Reverso Quadriptyque. Limited to just 10 pieces and costing a cool €1.35 million, this Reverso doesn’t have two faces—like a classic Reverso—it has four.
Why four? Well, the watch uses four faces to accommodate eleven complications—all crammed into a 51mm x 31mm white gold case. Let’s run through each face quickly, shall we?
The first face features a tourbillon, a perpetual calendar with Grande Date, day, month and leap year indicator and a day/night indicator. The second face has a minute repeater and a jumping digital hour display. The third boasts a synodic, anomalistic and draconic moonphase, and the fourth face has a moonphase as seen from the Southern-Hemisphere. All that in one watch.
The Quadriptyque’s hand-wound Hybris Mechanica Calibre 185 movement runs at 28,800 vph and has a power reserve of 50-hours—which is pretty great given its size and the fact it boats a total of 11 complications!
