Feature: Unmissable NEW Omega watches in 2023

While Watches and Wonders saw dozens of new timepieces launched amid much fanfare, Omega, which takes no part in the Geneva event, has quietly unveiled some models of its own. From dressy De Villes in precious metal to vintage-inspired Speedmasters, the brand is enjoying a period of prolific creativity. Do you like these five recent releases as much as we do?

Omega De Ville Prestige

This sublime De Ville Prestige is proof that Omega can create a modern dress watch fit for royalty. The contrast between the sunburst green dial and yellow-gold case is just one of the things that make this watch so visually appealing. There’s also the mix of applied Roman numerals and slender ‘feuille’ hands, with a date aperture and power reserve display at 6 o’clock.

Omega Bond

It could be a while before Daniel Craig’s successor is announced as the new James Bond. While waiting patiently for the re-boot, fans of the franchise can get their 007 fix with this smart new Bond timepiece. Launched late last year, the Seamaster Diver 300M James Bond 60th Anniversary edition features an exhibition case back that pays tribute to the iconic opening sequence, used in every Bond film since 1962’s Dr No.

Omega Speedmaster Super Racing

The Speedmaster Super Racing sets a new bar for accuracy via its caliber 9920 which has a deviation rate of 0/+2 seconds per day. Looks-wise, this piece pays homage to the Seamaster Aqua Terra 15,000 Gauss which was launched in 2013 and so celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The black and yellow colourway is reminiscent of that found on said Aqua Terra, whereas the honeycomb dial is inspired by the tested prototype “160,000 Gauss.” All in all, this is a cool Speedmaster at the forefront of watchmaking technology.

Omega Aqua Terra Shades

Fronted by a star-studded trio of actors—Zoe Kravitz, Eddie Redmayne and Zhou Dongyu—the colourful Aqua Terra Shades collection promises to celebrate “every shade of you”, and judging by the number of colours available, it doesn’t disappoint. Each dial is crafted from a sun-brushed and lacquered brass plate and range in hues from Atlantic Blue to Terracotta. With two sizes available, 34mm and 38mm, there’s an Aqua Terra Shades to suit everyone.

Omega Speedmaster ‘57

The Speedmaster ‘57 is described by Omega as “emblematic” of the original released in 1957, which was intended for engineers and race car drivers. It quickly evolved into an Omega favourite, especially after NASA’s interest in the collection. The new Speedmaster ’57 line includes eight new watches and boasts a slim case, colourful dial choices, a vintage bracelet and an outstanding Co-Axial Master Chronometer 9906 movement. What’s more, the range is fronted by big-name actors George Clooney and Hyun Bin—if that doesn’t sell the collection to you, we don’t know what will!
