How It Works

1.

Tell Us About Your Watch

First, find the watch you want to sell, then add your personal details to the form. Top tip: searching with the model number makes it simple to find.

2.

Pre-Paid Shipping

We’ll send you an estimate for your watch. Our offers are based on a number of factors, including demand for this watch and our current stock level. If you’re happy with it, our US service center will send you packaging and a pre-paid shipping label. You can then post us your watch safely and securely, along with its box and paperwork, if you have them. Or if you prefer, you can leave your watch with our experts at our SoHo boutique, and they’ll handle the rest for you.

3.

Watch Inspection

One of our expert watchmakers will inspect your watch when it arrives at our in-house service center in Dallas. If we need to do any work on the watch to bring it up to Watchfinder’s resale standards, we may deduct a servicing fee. If this is the case, we’ll let you know when we make you a final offer for your watch.

4.

Payment Made

Once we have inspected your watch, we’ll make a final offer. If you’re happy to go ahead, let us know and we’ll send the money to you within three days by bank transfer. And that’s it – your watch-selling journey will have come to an end and you’ll be free to enjoy the extra money you’ve just made.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the best way to sell a watch?

There are multiple ways to sell your luxury watch with Watchfinder. Whether you like the convenience of selling to us online or you’d prefer to sell your watch in-person with our experts at our boutique at 152 Spring Street, New York, NY 10012 (telephone: +1 646 832-2685), there’s something for everyone. You can even choose to trade in your timepiece for a new model from brands including Rolex, Omega, Breitling and more. Whichever way you decide to sell your watch to us, we’re here to help at every step of the process.

How will I find out how much my watch is worth?

Start by telling us about the watch you wish to sell online, via our convenient Sell Your Watch form. Once this is complete, we’ll email you an instant quote. If you prefer, simply bring your watch to our New York boutique where one of our in-store experts will guide you through the process.  The initial quote is an estimate only. We may deduct a servicing fee from the final offer. Your final offer will be confirmed once our expert team has completed its inspection and determined what work is required to meet the Watchfinder standard for resale.

What kind of watches can be sold?

At Watchfinder we purchase thousands of luxury pre-owned watches every year, from contemporary releases to vintage models. We accept a number of brands, from the hugely popular Rolex and Omega to high-end models from the likes of Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet.

Do I need the watch box and papers?

We are happy to buy your watch if you do not have the box and papers but please note, their absence can affect the value. We will also need proof of purchase if you do not have the box and papers.

How long is my quote valid for?"

Your initial quote is valid for up to 7 days.

If you’re happy with your initial quote, we need to collect your watch for inspection and authentication to give you a final offer. We can collect your watch with our free fully-insured home collection service – we’ll even send you special packaging to keep it safe. Or you can drop it off at one of our boutiques. Whichever service you choose, you will need to print your postal slip and include this with your watch.

If you wish to go ahead with the sale your watch must arrive with us within 7 days of your quote confirmation.

Please note, we do not include any servicing fees in the initial quote. Once we have inspected your watch, we will send you your final offer, which will include any deductions.

Your final offer is valid for up to 5 days.

If your quote expires at any stage of the process, you can request an updated quote. Please note, our offer may change, or we may not wish to continue with your sale.
